Pastor Bill Lanes of the Whitehall Assembly of God Church along with the Convoy of Hope Ministry, have donated coats, socks and rainboots to the school. The sizes are limited so not all students will get boots and coats but everyone will get some Bomba socks. For those who do not know Bill, he was a paraprofessional here at the school for several years. We appreciate Bill thinking of us with these donations.

Tuesday, November 8th the monthly meeting of the Board of Trustees met in the Home Ec. Room and the front door of the school did not get unlocked at the end of the school day. It was an oversight on the school’s part and regrettably a disruption in the community. The District extends sincerest apologies for not getting the front door keyed to open after student dismissal. It was an honest mistake and never the intention to keep anyone from attending the board meeting. The front door bell was not heard by anyone in the basement room. Fortunately, access to the building/meeting was given by a staff member who was outside and had a key. Persons wishing to attend the meeting were not denied access to come in to the meeting nor denied the opportunity to voice opinions, had they have asked to do so, in spite of the meeting being in progress. Going forward, the school will ensure that the door will be keyed to open for board meetings as soon as students are dismissed for the day.
Parent/Teacher conferences are today and tomorrow from 4pm - 6pm. If you did not receive a notice of your scheduled time, please give us a call. We also have the Book Fair set up! Come check it out!
